So, like most of the global gaming population, I was instantly turned on when I saw the dates for the open Battlefield 3 Beta.
I’m not one to pin point my favourite game, as over the years some literally awe-inspiring titles have been released over every genre and it’s unfair to differentiate between them all. But as I sat in the server queue, desperately clicking on half-full games to get into, a thought popped into my head;
‘This is literally going to be the best game of my young life so far.’
And minus the obvious flaws of an early open beta, I was pretty damn close.
Having played it a fair few hours already, in between important boring lectures, I can truly see it’s bright potential glittering on the month away horizon.
I can point out the same glitches everyone else will have experienced: poor spawn points, lag in densely populated areas of map, and jumpy characters and landscapes. But the key thing to remember is that IT IS A BETA.
I’m certain EA didn’t want a perfected version to go out, because after all a Beta looks for feedback and areas to work on for it’s full release in a months time, but I can’t help but feel anxious for those people (and it happens!) who download the Beta expecting great, great things from it and then dismissing it as ‘poor quality’.
For anyone who has played it so far, the quality it actually impeccable for a Beta this mass-craved for. And even though I haven’t been one of the lucky few on the 64-player matches, I’m having just enough fun running the Subways and Urban areas of ‘Operation Metro’ with the rest of my squad.
For those looking for another member of their squad, send me your Origin names as I’m a PC player as I’ll send you a friend request! For those who haven’t even got it, get on it now and let me know how you feel about it.

Someone who understand :’)

Recently I have been getting this error message while playing Battlefield 3 Beta. What gives!? Before I was able to play it flawlessly and now it crashes every 10 minutes. :l
